Polish pop star's blasphemy conviction quashed
Dorota Labczewska, known professionally as Doda,
was fined by a Warsaw court ten years ago for making comments in an interview.
But the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg
ruled It said it was protected by the right to freedom of expression.
ordered the Polish authorities to pay her €10,000 (£8,680) in damages.
Her damages exceed her nine times the fine imposed on her by the Warsaw Court.
The yuan fee was based on her television interview with the 38-year-old singer that aired in 2009.
