The Indian Premier League (IPL) is undoubtedly one of the most followed cricket tournaments globally. Recently, the five-time IPL champions revealed their player retention list to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Unfortunately, Mumbai Indians (MI) will not have the services of the veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who announced his retirement from international T20s, for the upcoming 2023 IPL season. MI finished 10th in the previous edition and is now gearing up for the upcoming season.

With the mini auction for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled next month, the Mumbai Indians Team(MI) have already retained 15 players from their previous roster. Recently, the team management has also acquired the left-arm seamer Jason Behrendorff from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), making it a total of 16 players in their current squad.
MI has always been known for their strong batting lineup, and the upcoming season promises to be no different. The team has some promising young talents in their batting lineup, such as Tilak Varma, Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs, and Tim David, who are considered the future of MI’s batting department.
